RPG Tycoon Release Announcement – Development Update #023

I’m extremely excited to announce that RPG Tycoon will be launching out of Early Access on Friday, 12th of February with version 1.0

I’ve been working extremely hard throughout January to get new features implemented, make improvements and add tonnes of new content for players for launch (Quests, Heroes, Adventurers, Events etc.) and so most of the changes I’ve made since the last update have been cleaning up UI, fixing bugs and making overall usability improvements.

I have, however, managed to implement the changes to the equipment system which I’ve had planned. Heroes now equip items based on their class or traits and the equipment that is gained during Epic Quests have rarity values based on how well your Heroes have performed in those quests. So for instance, a cloak can now only be equipped to Rangers, Theifs and Gadgeteers meaning that you’ll have to focus a lot more on your inventory management to get the most out of your Heroes. I’ve also made adjustments to the way loot drops are calculated in during quests and added bonus loot items as Quest Rewards.

Speaking of which, here’s a quick look at one of the new features I’m excited about that’s going to make modding the game even easier.

I’ll be making final fixes, tweaks and polish to the game right up until launch, squeezing every last inch I can think of to make it amazing.
